New Painting: Boston Garden In Color #3
New Painting: Boston Garden In Color #3
Tuesday, January 19, 2010
This painting stands as the third painting in the three painting series, “Boston Garden in Color.” It also represents a combination of the first and second painting in the series. The view is very similar to Boston Garden in Color #1, however, this shot is taken from the opposite side of the bridge. It also captures the three buildings in the background as painted in Boston Garden in Color #2. I found it challenging to produce a “new” looking painting after having completed two similar paintings prior to this one. I intentionally avoided referencing the first painting so that this painting did not look exactly like the first one. Oddly, I found my creativity slightly stifled having had completed a similar painting before this one. I’ll note that as I move forward and look to my next painting!
The painting process was a bit monochromatic at times and anxiously awaited the finishing colorful touches.
